Logo applications

Stationary

At first, I add some snow illustrations, because this is a polar bear and my dessert cafe's main product is ice cream. I thought snow was suitable.

Fig1.1: process

But snow elements look messy, so I made a 'B' and circle patterns. the circle comes from the polar bear's cheek.

1st attempt:

Some options for letterhead's back:

Fig1.4: cover

I had 2 ideas, a circle pattern, and a B pattern. A B pattern has a sense of unity, so I created all stationery with a B pattern.

2nd attempt:

Fig1.6: 2nd attempt

In week 9, I received some feedback from Ms. Lilian, and based on that, I made my design again. I picked up simple ones, not with patterns.

Using dummy text, I tested it out with my letterhead.

3rd attempt:

Fig1.9: 3rd attempt

In week 10, I received feedback about business cards, the right one is better. And add marks and need to change the layout a bit.

Collateral

Tumbler & dessert box

In week 9 feedback, for Tumbler, I created it with a changed shape logo, ms. Lilian mentioned that do not change the original logo shape. And right below the box is okay but others, need to use my logo color, not secondary color. And need to think about the ice box design again.

Fig2.1: 1st attempt

Using the circle element was very difficult to mock up.

Paper bag

1st attempt:

Fig3.1: 1st attempt

I thought 1 st attempt is not so good, and I received feedback, you can use a white paper bag or something and put a logo with color, not a brown color logo like this. And do not use the upper one element. Also, again, the original logo was not used.

Fig3.2: process

Loyalty card

I created some ideas based on references. Ms. Lilian mentioned the below 2 ideas are too complicated. For the front side, just putting a logo is fine. And prefer the white background + dark blue color bear logo.

Digital presence

Instagram

First, I found some dessert illustrations from Freepic. And I hollowed them out with Photoshop. I thought using these illustrations, I can express a sense of unity.

Fig5.1: photoshop, cut

Fig5.2: process, Instagram post

After deciding on the background color and layout, I added some phrases and shape elements. I was careful not to cover the colors and layout on the top, bottom, left, and right.

1st attempt:

Fig5.3: 1st attempt

Fig5.4: post

After creating 1st attempt, this brand is 'blissful bites' but they don't look delicious. So I tried to find some real images of dessert. And it's so hard for customers if there are only dessert illustrations, not images.

2nd attempt:

Fig5.5: 2nd attempt

Fig5.6: post

In the week 10 class, I received feedback, if you want to go with the second idea, it's ok but you can combine both because only the images, it looks complicated.

So I decided to combine the idea 1 and 2, and only use primary color for idea 1. There are so many secondary colors.

Websites

I did the same things as the Instagram post. At first, I created it by using illustrations. And I changed to actual images based on the same reason.

Fig5.7: 2 ideas of website

After feedback, I combined both ideas same as Instagram posts.

Environmental graphics and simulations

I used not original logo again, so I changed it.

Fig6.2: changed logo

This is my poster idea at first. For the right one, ms. Lilian said there is no brand identity because using secondary color and there is no information about your brand. So I redesigned the right poster.

Fig6.3: process of poster

2nd attempt:

Fig6.4: 2nd attempt

After the week 10 class, I decided to use primary colors only. And add the brand logo on the top. It was hard to think about the font and background color balance.

3rd attempt:
