After the class, I made a video using adobe effects. I used it for the
first time and it was a little bit complicated to operate. I used the same object as in the digital collage.
2. Import the W10_ANIMATE.psd into Adobe After Effects.
3. Create a composition setting 1080 px (Width) x 1920 px (Height),
Duration 15 second
4. Create a keyframe animation to the layers using Position (P), Scale
(S) & Masking path.
5. Render output: Quicktime (.MOV) or .MP4

Added movement to four objects. The effect that the teacher was talking about
in class was also added. After the fencer and shark rotate, four objects approach us.

Week11
In Week11 class, We made a gif by using timeline of photoshop. Even on the
same timeline, it was a little different from the features I used before.

First separate the background from the body, then move the body and
background separately.

The second one was divided into three parts: people, sky, and lawn. It was a
little difficult to make a natural movement.

Project 4 - Self titled
How do you want to visualize your dream into an artwork?
Although I will not make it my profession, my dream is to play a musical instrument as a hobby again. I want to try different instruments.I want to incorporate music and musical instruments into my works. I would like to create works of art that are fun to look at.
What is the concept behind it?
I like to listen to the music of my favorite artists as well as performing.
Self-titled, I thought of music and instruments when I think of me.
I played the saxophone for 6 years, which is a great experience in my 19 years of life.
What is the message you want people to understand it?
It is important to work hard, but you also need to take a break. Let's enjoy our respective hobbies.
Simply put, I would like to express what I like to do in my life.

This is an idea sketch. I'm flying(sitting) in the center, and there are clouds around me. And there is a score above me. I have a saxophone and the notes are coming out of the bell. I'm planning to move these music notes and clouds.

First I put me in the middle, then the staff and notes.

Next, put a cloud outside. I expressed a three-dimensional effect. The reason why i put flowers was that it goes well with the clouds.

I put an oval frame. Because I want it to look like a window.

And I added a music player. I'll also move this line. I think you will be healed by watching and listning. Let's enjoy our respective hobbies. I want to convey this through my work.

‘Do What You Love’ is my work’s concept. At first, it was a noisy movement, but after receiving feedback from the teacher, i changed it to a gentle movement, I think that’s what made it better.

When I move some music notes, I put original poster at the background. Using this as a landmark.

In particular, I paid attention to the objects and music notes’s overall balance. Also, color balance is important. I put score and flower as a background.
Project4 Final outcome
Feedback
The music notes and clouds move fast, so do it slowly. And cloud move horizontally.
Reflection
This project was good opportunity to learn animation. I used After Effect for the first time. I think I'm used to it compared to the beginning. In particularly, it was difficult to think of design composition. And it was also difficult to express the things that I want to convey through this artwork. And I can only use limited functionality so i need to learn more about Photoshop or After Effect. I'm not sure but I was able to make a work I wanted to make.
